Residential systems are your typical HVAC systems that you find in your home. Each system is a certain tonnage specific to the size of your home. Other factors we go based off of is high ceilings, number of doors, number of windows, insulation, etc. Making sure you have at least one annual check up done on your system is the key to getting the most life out of it! Give us a call to get your annual heating and cooling tune up scheduled.

Mini splits are a great way to add air conditioning into one room. There are no ducts, the mini split system mounts onto your wall, you use a controller to operate it, and you have an outdoor unit that sends refrigerant to the indoor unit that’s on the wall. A system like this is mostly used for garages, tech rooms, and rooms that were added after the house was already built.
MINI SPLIT
“What temperature should I set my thermostat in order to lower my electricity bill?” This is a question that we get a lot. Setting your thermostat to a higher temperature lowers your electricity bill, however, sacrificing your comfort in your own home in order to save a couple dollars should be the last option. A solution that many people over look is home insulation. Insulation essentially turns your house into a thermal cup. It traps the cold and hot air inside your home for longer periods of time so your system doesn’t run as much.
INSULATION = SAVING
Something as small as a filter makes a HUGE difference in a system. A filter does more than just keep the system clean, it also helps with allergies and static pressure in the system. Having a dirty filter causes a lot more damage than meets the eye. The filter can become so caked up with dirt and other allergens that it causes the blower motor to work harder and pull more amps. This will cause the system to breathe improperly. It’s like your system is running a marathon with 5 masks on! Once the system can’t breath properly, its a big domino effect from there. The end result? Buying a new system because everything wore out prematurely.
