Residential systems

Residential systems are your typical HVAC systems that you find in your home. Each system is a certain tonnage specific to the size of your home. Other factors we go based off of is high ceilings, number of doors, number of windows, insulation, etc. Making sure you have at least one annual check up done on your system is the key to getting the most life out of it! Give us a call to get your annual Heating and Cooling tune up scheduled.

MINI SPLIT

Mini splits are a great way to add air conditioning into one room. The mini split system mounts onto your wall there are no ducts, you use a controller to operate it, and you have an outdoor unit that send refrigerant to the indoor unit that’s on the wall. A system like this is mostly used for garages, tech rooms, and rooms that were added after the house was already built.

INSULATION = SAVING

“ What temperature should I set my thermostat at to lower my electricity bill?” This is a question that we get a lot. Setting your thermostat to a higher temperature lowers your electricity bill in the summer, however, sacrificing your comfort in your own home in order to save a couple dollars should be the last option. A solution that many people over look is home insulation. Insulation essentially turns your house into a thermal cup. It traps the cold and hot air inside your home for longer periods of time so your unit doesn’t turn on as frequently.

DUCT WORK

This is beneficial in many ways. Depending on the size of your system it needs a certain amount of air to function at its proper specs. It also needs to supply a certain amount of air for things to be working at 100%. About 85% of homes that we service are short on return air. This causes your unit to struggle. Adding another duct to your system can improve the life span of your system tremendously because now it is not struggling to breathe. Ducts can also be increased in size in certain rooms if you feel like you aren’t getting enough air.
